10 Rules of Fitness

1. Set Realistic Goals.
Lofty goals can be discouraging and keep you from continuing
your fitness regimen. Be sure to set realistic goals.
2. Come to the gym 3-5 days a week.
Going to the gym should be fun. You don't want to burn
out and lose interest so give your body a break.
3. Use different machines.
Your mind and body will eventually adapt to the same exercises
leading to a progress plateau. Change it up!
4. Learn how use the equipment properly.
If you try to teach yourself you may form bad habits or
hurt yourself. Hire a Synergy lifestyle coach to show
you the ropes. Educating you is their job and reaching
your fitness goals is their mission.
5. Train the whole body.
Aerobics are great for improving your endurance, and may
be fun, but you will reach your goals faster by incorporating
various types of exercise into your routine.
6. An hour is all you need!
If you concentrate on exercising when you’re in the gym,
and not on socializing, an hour is plenty.
7. Eat a balanced Diet.
Do not deprive your body of specific food groups. A body
responds best to a balanced diet. Consult a Synergy lifestyle
coach for help with diet programs.
8. If it hurts - STOP!
Some people think pain is a result of progress. This is
false! Pain often occurs when you are doing something
wrong.
9. Have a Fitness Evaluation.
Only a professional evaluation can truly measure your progress.
Scales only measure total body weight. They do not differentiate
the fat to muscle ratio, blood pressure or heart beat.
10. If you don’t see noticeable results in 3 months—consult
a Synergy lifestyle coach.
Three months is adequate time for the body to undergo transformation.
If you are not seeing results, you are doing something
wrong.
